Mediafire is no go.

Well, they just deleted the DVD Specials off for some reason, so I can no longer use Mediafire to distribute the manga. I got an alternative, so if y'all give me a few days, I'll edit the archive post I made with brand new links for everything. Yes, I got three strikes on my account, so... not much else I can do about that. Stay tuned for more updates.

Kodomo no Jikan Archive

Welp, its time to post every bit I have of Kodomo no Jikan. We'll start with the main volumes, I redownloaded Volume 7 just to make sure, so whatever is available here, is what it is. I'm providing everything of what SaHa provided for it, so I'm not too sure if the full tankoubon is in it or not. Anyway, let's hop to it! BTW, mirrors coming soon.

Second Mirror?

I know MediaFire is doing good and all, but I'm thinking of putting in a second mirror. Uploaded.to or something perhaps. Also, I need to figure out what hasn't been uploaded because I apparently have all of the tankoubon for KnJ, but the thing is... I don't know what is uploaded currently unless I grab 'em myself. I can get an idea with filesize, but its not always a good indicator because I never labeled the zips as such. If someone lets me know, I'll fix that soon as I see it. I'll also see about making an archive post of everything uploaded so far and have corresponding mirrors to them.

KnJ Volume 11 Tankoubon (Up Now!)

Don't worry, I'll get this uploaded when I can. And SaHa released Ch 81 not long ago too.. It is about that time of the month too. (that sounds odd now that I think about it...)

I'm actually having issues with my ISP again, and upon further 'investigation' (if I could call it that), someone on the same ISP as I are having issues exactly the same as mine. Upload too much data, your modem resets. Don't believe me? Here's a video I did in December '11 with exactly what's going on.

There you have it. I'll have the Vol. 11 Tankoubon uploaded soon as possible, but at ~90 MB, won't be able to since I can't seem to upload more than 20-50 MB sometimes. Its highly random, but I know of guaranteed ways to get this stupid ass modem to reset on its own. I've already had them try a Ubee modem/router piece of crap, that thing would just cut my internet randomly, no lights going off or anything, so I couldn't pinpoint the problem.

Oh, regarding MediaFire, they have told me they do not intend to close down or restrict its US audience. So, for now, they're fine to use. Not like we can buy this manga legally in the states anyway, or anywhere else due to the nudity occasionally of underage girls. Stupid laws of the world, and the US... Would I kill to have all 12 volumes of the manga in my house, all because I love her work and story.

Oh, gomen for the teaser image, but I had to. XP

MediaFire and the Future

With the advent of MegaUpload being shut down by our pathetic government, FileServe caved in on their own, same for FileSonic. MediaFire might also go the same route very soon.. So, if you find that the links don't work, let me know and I'll figure out what to do from there. I'm not sure what host I'm going to use right now since most are caving into pressure as of late in regards to our stupid ass government. If anyone has suggestions, let me know and I'll see about uploading there in between some of my work for Exiled-Destiny.

You can leave a comment here, find me on ShadowHime, or email me (if you can find my email anyway =P - yes, I will make people do work) and I'll look at 'em when I get some time.

PIPA and SOPA

Y'all probably know about PIPA and SOPA. What? Some of you don't? Shame on you! Nah, I'm only kidding. Here's a run-down.

PIPA and SOPA are sister bills that were recently put on the back burner until the next US Administration is in full swing next year. But that won't stop companies using illegal means to get websites shut down either way. Department of Justice doesn't need either of the bills to hijack the DNS of websites to put to their own server, which is illegal without a warrant. (since when do they need a warrant... Oh yeah, we have a Constitution for that, but they apparently have never heard of it..) Google, unfortunately, can easily shut this blog down in a pinch soon as they're threatened. But, that won't really stop us getting our favorite manga, now does it?

Now these are what those two bills can do. If either or both pass and is signed into law (which they will, corporate greed and lobbying does that), that would give the Government (US only, for now) the power to hijack any DNS they deem fit, regardless of country of origin, to 'censor' the web of sites they don't like. Now, if any of you know your history lessons, this can't happen. Why? US law doesn't affect outside of US borders. But our Government likes to think otherwise. If they don't get what they want, they will bully other nations to enact similar laws. Its already happened several times. I believe Pirate Bay had to switch countries due to US bullying and influence. I might be somewhat wrong, but that's the gist of it.

What makes them dangerous? The censoring of the internet. China already does this, which is why they've been known as "The Great Firewall of China" for years now. The US is rapidly approaching this as well, and we will become just like China until an underground market for the internet appears. Both bills are very dangerous and could cripple the internet as we know it.

There is large opposition to both of them, but I doubt it'll be enough because MAFIAA, MPAA, RIAA, Microsoft, AT&T, Time Warner, Comcast, etc.. even more companies... They are all supportive of the bills. They want them to pass. Google, Twitter, FaceBook, few more, are opposed to them, but I don't think that will help much as some might think. There are a ton of big-name companies that support them, and only a handful that don't. Boycotting is an idea to show opposition to the companies that do support the bills, but even that won't be enough I believe.

Thought I'd make a post on this for now since its getting a lot of attention lately. I didn't participate in the SOPA Protest myself as I found it completely pointless to black out 1% of the internet for an entire day. Ah well, shit happens I suppose..

Kodomo no Jikan Volume 11

Its that time again. A new volume! Volume 11 ended off on an odd note, and now I'm more curious about what Rin is going to do... Well, 12 might be the last one to come, so we'll have to see. Oh do I so wish I could buy this manga and actually support the author for her work. Makes me sad I can't legally own it right now..

Oh yeah, Link.. y'all need that don't ya? XD
