With the advent of MegaUpload being shut down by our pathetic government, FileServe caved in on their own, same for FileSonic. MediaFire might also go the same route very soon.. So, if you find that the links don't work, let me know and I'll figure out what to do from there. I'm not sure what host I'm going to use right now since most are caving into pressure as of late in regards to our stupid ass government. If anyone has suggestions, let me know and I'll see about uploading there in between some of my work for Exiled-Destiny.

PIPA and SOPA

Y'all probably know about PIPA and SOPA. What? Some of you don't? Shame on you! Nah, I'm only kidding. Here's a run-down.

PIPA and SOPA are sister bills that were recently put on the back burner until the next US Administration is in full swing next year. But that won't stop companies using illegal means to get websites shut down either way. Department of Justice doesn't need either of the bills to hijack the DNS of websites to put to their own server, which is illegal without a warrant. (since when do they need a warrant... Oh yeah, we have a Constitution for that, but they apparently have never heard of it..) Google, unfortunately, can easily shut this blog down in a pinch soon as they're threatened. But, that won't really stop us getting our favorite manga, now does it?

Now these are what those two bills can do. If either or both pass and is signed into law (which they will, corporate greed and lobbying does that), that would give the Government (US only, for now) the power to hijack any DNS they deem fit, regardless of country of origin, to 'censor' the web of sites they don't like. Now, if any of you know your history lessons, this can't happen. Why? US law doesn't affect outside of US borders. But our Government likes to think otherwise. If they don't get what they want, they will bully other nations to enact similar laws. Its already happened several times. I believe Pirate Bay had to switch countries due to US bullying and influence. I might be somewhat wrong, but that's the gist of it.

What makes them dangerous? The censoring of the internet. China already does this, which is why they've been known as "The Great Firewall of China" for years now. The US is rapidly approaching this as well, and we will become just like China until an underground market for the internet appears. Both bills are very dangerous and could cripple the internet as we know it.

There is large opposition to both of them, but I doubt it'll be enough because MAFIAA, MPAA, RIAA, Microsoft, AT&T, Time Warner, Comcast, etc.. even more companies... They are all supportive of the bills. They want them to pass. Google, Twitter, FaceBook, few more, are opposed to them, but I don't think that will help much as some might think. There are a ton of big-name companies that support them, and only a handful that don't. Boycotting is an idea to show opposition to the companies that do support the bills, but even that won't be enough I believe.

Thought I'd make a post on this for now since its getting a lot of attention lately. I didn't participate in the SOPA Protest myself as I found it completely pointless to black out 1% of the internet for an entire day. Ah well, shit happens I suppose..

Kodomo no Jikan Volume 11

Its that time again. A new volume! Volume 11 ended off on an odd note, and now I'm more curious about what Rin is going to do... Well, 12 might be the last one to come, so we'll have to see. Oh do I so wish I could buy this manga and actually support the author for her work. Makes me sad I can't legally own it right now..

Shoutbox Gone

Alright, who hates spam? You do? Same here, I detest it. So, shoutbox had to go bye-bye. Was getting sick of the endless spam on there, and bans don't really help.

As far as I'm aware, you can comment on Blogger without the need to login. So anyone who does pay attention can still bug me if needed.

Far as KnJ goes, Chapter 78 was recently released, with a break in December. So another one won't be out until January it seems. Volume 11 is coming close to an end, and where the manga goes from there, I'm not entirely sure. The only reason why I have the 18+ activated here is because Kaworu Watashiya has gotten rather explicit about half-way into the manga itself. Not that it bothers me, course not, just that the warning needs to be there due to adult content.

Hope that might clear anything up. Grant it, no one asked me before, but meh.. can never be too cautious, eh?

Oh yeah, I haven't had time to find the tankoubon for the other volumes yet. Torrent may be my only option, but one problem... My ISP is sending kill packets occasionally when I use any torrent program, which kills my modem for a brief moment. So, it'll make downloading crap a lot harder than I'd like it..

Guess its time I make a post. SaHa recently released some extra material to Volume 9, so I uploaded it. I think I was suppose to upload another, right? I'll look and try and get that up soon. On another note, just because, I uploaded another set of chapters, links below.

Note: You will need 7-zip to extract them. I think WinRAR can extract 7z files, but I'd use 7-zip just in case anyway. Its free software, so why not.

PS: Why is Google so stupid? At first it wouldn't let me do shit in Firefox, now it won't let me do shit in IE. I don't get it... Do y'all? Meh..

Well, if any of y'all want to bitch at me, there's two places. Just know, you need to know a little about IRC, but not too much really.

First: You can go to Rizon's site and use their webchat to join #2kochan. If y'all have a client, connect to irc.rizon.net and /join #2kochan.

Second: Because Rizon is so unpredictable about their net splits, y'all may go to my site and connect to an IRC network I co-own. The Mibbit link there will bring you to one particular channel I help run. You can also use irc.shadowhime.net and /join #Insanity_Refuge.

It definitely appears we're getting close to the end of KnJ. Some speculate that Volume 12 may be the last volume of the series. Well, time will tell as to what will happen to Rin, Kuro, and Usa. (that was her name right? o.o) I find it funny on how Rin is a bit afraid of changes in her body, but can't blame her, can you?

On another note, I'm reading more and more on SaHa's blog that some people are saying KnJ is about almost done entirely. Its all rumor to me, but I'm inclined to believe it though... Who knows, let's see what volume 11 brings when those show up.

Volume 10 is Almost Done

So, Volume 10 is almost done, probably like 1 or 2 chapters left. Why am I posting an image you might ask? To tease perhaps.

Mk, so couple people been bugging me to make a post. So.. here. You happy? Ok, that aside, Retrofit has kept me busy somewhat the past week as I catch up on stuff I've fallen behind. The other reason I haven't posted is well.. Firefox won't let me post comments. Well, that's Google's fault as it is... I can post in IE and Chrome too assuming I had Chrome to begin with........ But I'm a Firefox user, not IE or Chrome. I can make posts like this through FF if I wanted... just can't post comments. Faulty coding on Google's part and well, knowing them, they won't fix anything. They just make things harder to use now and don't care about their users anymore. (take a look at the fiasco going on with Youtube, you'll see)

Now what about Cloudslayer69? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I still can't say anything really. I have tossed some letters back and forth with him, but he's going to be away from internet for quite some time, I'll say that much. So, there isn't much I can say on the subject matter. At the time of this post, I haven't quite gotten another letter, so I'm not sure what's going on at the moment.

Anyway, at the end of the month, another chapter should be out for KnJ. I think that might conclude Volume 10, but I'm not sure. I don't have raws to look at or anything. Typical manga is usually 170-190 pages per volume, so who knows. If it is the end of the volume, then I'll see about getting it posted up soon after its released.

I'm starting to lean more on the fact I'll just post per volume instead or something. I'm not too keen on posting every single chapter that's released from SaHa, since y'all can get them at his site for those. But again, don't worry, I am still keeping tabs on his blog for any updates and I do get additional chapters especially for the mid-way point into Volume 10. But, if enough pressure, I'll re-consider doing a chapter release sort of thing. We'll see... just lately I've been busy and such, so no real time to do much other than game a bit in free time or work on anime stuff...

Been a while since I've posted, hasn't it? I've been busy doing other things, and I've recently been put on staff for an anime group called Retrofit. You can view their site to see more information.

Anyway, SaHa released the some extra stuff for Vol. 5 and 8, so I do plan to upload those, and Chapters 62 and 63. Just going to take time since I don't have a lot of it right now.

Hold your horses. =P To put it simply, SaHa releases, from the looks of it, a chapter per month. There are probably about another 3-6 chapters remaining in Vol. 9 (I don't know, I'm just guessing basing on the amount of pages there are comparing to other volumes). I'm thinking of going ahead and posting a link to the available chapters and just go from there.

And no, I'm not dead, just been stupidly busy with things recently that's driving me crazy. Maybe things will calm down come Fall, but that is still a ways away.

Picking Back Up

Ok, I've done some thinking for a while to see whether or not I'd continue this blog for everyone who is a fan of the KNJ manga. And since I'm one of those fans, and I still have access to cloud's account, I decided to make my main account available to post on here. (took me a minute to figure it out o.O)

So, I'll go through some of the links and see which are dead and such. I'll also upload all complete volumes rather than by chapters up to the point where the latest chapters haven't been released (such as those from Vol. 8) where I'll upload via chapters.

With that in mind, I thank cloud for getting me into KNJ in the first place. XD I'll also upload any DVD specials and all that too, so those won't be left out either. I'm busy as it is, so I won't always be able to post something, but hopefully I'll have the first volume or something up next week once I've checked for any invalid links.

I am borrowing Cloudslayer69's account to post this.

I'm TwinShadow, one of 3 2kochan Administrators that gave him the necessary tools to be able to start his own manga pages.

Recently, I was told that there was some issues that came up and that it is likely cloud may not be back for a very long time, if at all. I can not give any details as that is on a need-to-know basis. The mangas will stay up for a time, but I have no control over what happens.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I thank you for understanding.
